I am Crystal.  I am from the Fort Peck Reservation.  I am Nakona.  I grew up in Wolf Point, Montana.  I became a teacher and administrator and served many Indigenous communities.  My education background is curriculum and instruction.  Since 2014 I have been developing land and culture-based, and language and story-based and policy-based curriculum.  Indigenous knowledge and ways of knowing are core to our identity.  As a teacher, I work to ensure all Indigenous children are proud of who they are, where they come from, and who they are related to.
